Sounds From Across The River Jordan..

Can you believe that I found a picture with that caption? How God is that...
you will understand when you read.

I spent some time today with my friend Jean. She had just received some pain medication so she was in and out while we talked. She is much more frail than the other day and the weakness in her body is considerably worse. She laughed but not enough strength to talk, so I talked...... I am good at that. We did not talk about much just chit chat. I sat and watched her drift off to sleep and then awake and smile when she saw my face. I studied her precious face so that when she slips away I will be able to recall that smile.

This is something that is so moving to my spirit man that I do not know what will come from this experience. I kissed her on the cheek when I left and she quickly fell off to sleep. I cried when I left again. Can't help it.

She is more with the Father God than she is here I am sure of that. She keeps hearing chimes. Every once in a while her eyes will open wide and she will look around and she will say........."did you hear that, did you hear those chimes?" It makes spirit bumps run up and down my spine even now. She is hearing something that the others in the room cannot hear. It makes me cry.

Our Father God is so in love with us that the closer we get to home, HE allows us to hear bits and pieces of the heavenly choir. I know this is a fact, I know it. She is hearing sounds from the place where no sin is allowed. Her spirit man is tuned into sounds that only those that will soon walk with HIM can hear. It is sounds reserved for those that are moving closer to the home not made by flesh and blood.

She hears the cymbals or bells played in unison by the angels that continually see the face of the Father. She is hearing the wind rushing through the branches of the tress that line the river of living water.......... She is hearing something. I wish I could hear it with her, but it is reserved only for her spirit man.

I left her not knowing if I will see her again this side of the Jordan River, but with the full assurance that I will walk and talk with her again another day.

Pray for my friend Jean...... Her healing is close.

Denise, know this...
That those that go on before us stand at the right hand of God interceding for us both day and night.

there is so much more than this realm we see.

Such a precious post! Before my Granddaddy passed, he was heard one night saying "Yes, Lord, yes...whoop, glory!" When he woke up, he said he saw the Good Shepherd with His hand outstretched saying "Come".

"Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his saints."

I was doing some blog hopping and ran across your blog. Such beautiful thoughts you have shared. They remind me of the last time I spent with my grandmother. So precious. My prayers are with you and your friend, Jean, who is almost home.

I cant wait to hear those chimes, that is my deepest desire! Oh Denise, how great and loving our God is to allow those who are nearing their departure here on this earth to see and hear what is waiting on the other side. It is hard for us to lose our friends and loved ones to death....but we know that they are going to a better place. God will provide for us comfort through the sweet Holy Spirit.....and we have that promise that we will see them again. You are such a dear friend to Jean....spending this precious time with her.

May you feel God's comforting arms around you.

Denise, This is so beautiful.
When my mother-in-law got closer to passing she was perfectly lucid but she'd tell us that she talked to Dad or Jim last night. (She called her husband Dad and he was already gone, as well as Jim, her oldest son). I always thought she really did. I thought it was them waiting for her and encouraging her that it was all right.

Precious Denise, I'm so incredibly moved each time you share your moments with Jean with us. She is more with the Father than on this side of heaven and that's a beautiful thing that you are experiencing with her.

Something you both will one day speak of and praise the Lord together in Glory.

Love you dear sister.

Denise,

I am praying that God will call your friend, Jean, home. She is close my friend and hearing the music of heaven. I'm so glad you could spend some time with her. I remember doing the same when my friend, Marg, passed away in 1980. It was some of the best moments we ever had and made treasured memories.

I did a bit of catch-up and saw how busy you all were doing the shirts. Great job. They are perfect. I especially like the mash type style.

Take care and please keep me updated on Jean, your Mama and yourself. Prayers are speeding toward heaven.

Blessings,
Mary

Oh my!!!!! What precious moments to be able to share at the threshhold of Heaven's door. I, too, had the chills as I read your touching post this morning! I couldn't help but sing that old hymn, "There is singing up in Heaven such as we have never known. . . ." and it ends with ". . .But when I sing redemption's story, angels fold their wings, for angels never new the joy that my salvation brings!"
Someday, I'll seek out Jean, and I'm sure you will be there with her, too, and we can all sing together as we hear the chimes ringing out redemption's sweetest songs!

Before my aunt died she told my mom (with great effort) that she's been wanting to give something to the family. She struggled to say exactly what she felt but finally said, "I want to give them salt".

Mom and I knew the significance of salt in the Bible but other members of the family that are not Christians have taken it as Aunt Sandy was out of her mind in those last days.

Also... I read a story once about a guy who died in a car accident and was clinically dead for 60 or 90 minutes (something like that). He said that Heaven had melodious sounds everywhere and all his senses were filled from the smells and sights but it was the musical sound of the rush of angels wings that so enveloped him. ...It made me want to be there! :)

Praying with you Denise... Polly

I will keep your friend in my prayers. The angels will rejoice when she comes home.

BTW, switch your Splenda to Stevia. I dreaded trying it but it is great. Can't tell a difference. I had heard that Stevia is bitter and it may be if you use to much.

Hope your having a great Passover Sunday.

I've said it before, but a worthy repeat.

It is a gift to walk someone home to Jesus, and yes, I do believe that the closer we get to home, the sweeter the sounds that go with us. Thank you for this window looking in. May your Easter walk be full of God's grace, truth, and resurrection this week.

Hey Denise,
I'm sorry I've been out of touch lately. I hope you know I'm always an email away. I'll be praying for Jean. I know you carry mixed emotions...how your heart must break. Know I'm thinking and praying for you both tonight.
Love you...

Denise,

Wondering how you are doing and how Jean and your Mama are.

Tonight at writer's guild, I wrote an ode to Aunt May. I thought you might like to see it, since you prayed for her throughout her battle with cancer and her going Home.

Blessings,
Mary

Mom is good. I just talked to her this evening. She's working a lot of overtime in order to be here for the surgery. She will be here the week of the surgery and the week after to help with Hayden and Erin while I recover.

Are you all better?

Denise, I am trying to get back into blogging...I have read about your friend Jean. I did not find out what is wrong. I was guessing cancer. Two years ago if you remember I went through this with a friend, Betty. She passed away in June 2 years ago with cancer everywhere..In her brain at the last. She was quite the fighter and a Christian. I think of her often. Take care and just be a friend...
