Ok.... It's just a Passing Mood...........

I feel pretty, Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
And I pity Any girl who isn't me tonight.
I feel charming, Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
And so pretty That I hardly can believe I'm real.
See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face,
Such a pretty dress,
Such a pretty smile,
Such a pretty me!
I feel stunning And entrancing,
Feel like running and dancing for joy,
For I'm loved By a pretty wonderful boy!

Ok, it is 1:15 a.m. and I am at my puter...... I need to be in bed asleep but no... here I sit. I was wondering what I could post today and all of a sudden that song from West Side Story popped into my mind....... Now why is that? Anyway... the Internet is a wonderful thing and with one little Google search I had the words...... You youngsters might not remember it but I bet there are a few of you that do.......... We live in such a skinny world and those silly gals in those silly magazines are not real and they really do not look like that......... Come on......... We are beautiful ! Each of us are beautiful........We all have different qualities and talents and gifts to give the world. OK, my hair is thinner and the grey peeks out from time to time and that two piece bathing suit has been retired many a year ago.... but I am beautiful.
Our Father God looks at us with the eyes of a lover...... He thinks we are the cats meow......... He is jealous over us......... He rejoices over us with singing... He laughs with us and sings with us............ He thinks that each and every one of us is so beautiful........
I have to get up soon and go paint and clean a rent house so I will be long gone before most of you stop in.... BUT....... all together now.............

Denise,

None of us look like we used to. My hair is also thinner and I'm pounds heavier than I was in the 1960s, but as I tell the boys, we are all beautiful.

Just thought I'd drop in this morning and say hi. Thinking of you and all of my other blogging friends.

Love and blessings,
Mary

I love you dear beautiful one. Thanks so much for this post, it is so true. My hair is so thin on top due to a thyroid condition, and I am carrying around extra pounds, but my Father loves me as is. Be blessed.

Good Morning Denise,
"THANKS" for stopping by last night and for leaving such nice comments on my "Love Story". I have been truly blessed with a wonderful man and 2 beautiful daughters. I don't look like I did years ago either. My Father loves me and that's all that matters. "THANK YOU" for sharing this with us. It has warmed up some. It is 46 degrees as I'm typing this. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Sometimes when we look in the mirror it just sucks all the pride out of us, huh? Oh but God DOES love us despite our many flaws and it's a good thing He does. The amazing thing is I honestly believe it wouldn't matter what we looked like, He loves us anyway.

Amen! I am more beautiful today than I ever have been!...Grey, wrinkles and all...

So my husband tells me and so does my Father in Heaven.

As we grow in His image our beauty shines brighter!

oh...and I loved West Side Story!

Just coloured my hair AGAIN last night! I love the new look and I also like seeing all of the family pics -- it's nice to put faces with the names!

Glad you got my email -- i didn't receive any replies and was wondering if it went out! D

Yes, we are the apple of His eye; we are His beautiful daughters :)
As I was reading your post, 1 Samuel came to mind: "But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.'" ~ 1 Samuel 16:7 (ESV)

Blessings to you and yours in 2008 and beyond.

I enjoyed this!
I have not been feeling pretty lately. It is amazing what happens when you eat too many sweets and all of a sudden you can't stand yourself.
I'm thinking that I will need to look in the mirror tonight and sing this to myself.
I remember watching this movie with my Mom.
It would be interesting to watch it again one day.
