FOR JUST A SONG AND DANCE..........

Ephesians 6: 10

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11) Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
.....Ok it says stand, but having done all, dance sounds pretty good also. When you have prayed, believed, gone before the Lord. When you have made your petitions know to the Father:
Heb 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
...When you have rebuked, resisted, taken authority, loosed and bound. When you have put on the breastplate of righteousness, the sword of the spirit, the shield of faith and your feet are ready to go and spread the good news of the gospel, it is time to stand.

.....When there is nothing left for you to do, do nothing. Heaven seems to be sealed over and God is far away. At least that is what the flesh is saying; it is time to set those feet to dancing. God delights in our praise. He will dance with us, He rejoices over us with song.
Zep 3:17
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing
.

...Praise and worship brings the presence of God into our midst. I do not know about you but I need God and His presence near me. It is astonishing how a song and dance can wash away our fears and doubts. How the simple act of singing to Him will calm the cares of the day and cause us to enter into a place where there is no want. I own a red tambourine, now that should tell you something about me.
....Having never met me, many of you should pick up on that one bit of information and have a better understanding of the person behind these words. There have been times in my life that tambourine has been set on fire. I love to play that thing. There have been times in the most recent past that I have taken that tambourine and headed for my garage, fire up my CD player, and danced away the blues. Just the acknowledgement of His mercy toward me, and the awareness of the grace He pours into my life, causes me to want to dance before Him. What a wonderful release of “the cares of this world”. My red tambourine is scriptural, just in case you wondered……
Ps. 149:3
Let them praise His name in the dance :let them sing praises unto Him with the tribrel and harp..
....We fail to understand that He created us to fellowship with Him. We all too often fail to come before Him just to chat. He wants to be a friend to laugh and play with us as well as a God to run to when times are bad. If you have never danced before Him, then you are missing out on one of the most powerful forms of praise that we have. There are times when there are no more words to say, the prayers have been prayed. Deep within our Spirit man is a hunger to find a deeper place in God. Then I suggest that you dance.

..... He stands ready at any given moment to touch out lives and make us whole. He sees us through the blood of Christ and there is no longer any condemnation from Him. He longs to fellowship with us, He longs to bring rest to our spirit that only His presence can bring. The word of God tells us that God inhabits the praises that we offer up to Him.
Ps 22:3
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

....... Imagine, the God of the universe will come and live with us in the midst of our praise. He will be present amid our praise. What a powerful statement, what a powerful thought.Dance before the Lord and give Him the praise and the honor that He alone deserves.

.....For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved,When we worship Him in Spirit and Truth it fills the nostrils of God with a sweet savour. It is our sacrifice to Him. Go ahead and dance, what have you got to lose except your worries and your fears. You will find an inner peace and strength that you did not know you had. The joy of the Lord will fill your hearts and minds and from that joy will be a strength that the world knows nothing of.
.....Go and dance, sing, make a joyful noise unto the Lord and see if what I say is not true. He will meet you in the middle of your dancing, in the midst of the songs that you sing. He will joy over you with singing, and if you are still and open your eyes, you may even see Him dance, and remember this one thing………..the presence of the Father God is available for just a song and a dance.
.......Be blessed today and find a place within your busy day to go before the Lord, asking nothing, always giving thanks and during that time of fellowship just between you and the Father………………………… I hope you dance.

In Christ Denise

I found your blogs through your profile. No worries! 4 blogs is a lot to maintain. Perhaps you could do 1 blog with 4 sections to it?

It is fun to dance. I haven't played the tambourine in years. I may have to look into getting one again.

I like the part about chatting with God.
I think that is an area that has failed in my life.
If I can not share everything with Him then I think that the relationship just becomes religious.
Need to start talking/chatting again.
It is amazing that lately my talk has just been about serious stuff.
Seems I need Him to share a little laughter with me.
Good post.
