Jesus set an example for all of us to "SEE" as well as hear. He went about "DOING" good. He fed the hungry, he clothed the naked, He visited the sick and healed them. Christianity is not a religion, it is a life style. The world is kicked back and watching to see if we put our "doing" where our mouth is.
Love is a noun when speaking of Father God for He is Love ! Love is a verb for it demands action. Jesus did not come speaking fancy words and then have His angels whisk Him back to heaven where He was comfortable and warm and in His safety zone. He came speaking of salvation and then He did something. He gave of Himself and put into action the Love that He professed to us. We are to do nothing less.
The words I love you penned in an email or spoken on the phone falls empty to the floor if not followed by action. You cannot take and take and take and then pen a couple of little dead words and make things right. You cannot sit and stare at your TV or computer screen and make excuses when one you love is ill and laying in a hospital bed. Love DOES........
Love finds a way where there is no way. Love forgets about itself and centers solely around others. Love does not take without giving back a hundred fold. Do not say I love you to me and go for years without putting some action to those words. It is in the little things that Love speaks the loudest. It is the night vigil beside the hospital bed just in case that persons needs to awake to a familiar face, it is flowers just out of the blue when there is only Love to celebrate. It is a visit home to see the elderly Mom and Dad, Love is giving and kind and caring, it goes out of its way to put others first. It is never boastful or selfish. It does not reach out to take but it gives a hundred fold. Love DOES, it just DOES............. It makes me tired to hear the yada, yada, yada of a taker that boast of their love only in words, when doing is far from them.
Just going to church a Christian does not make. The Jesus Christ of Calvary stood on the mountain top and looked down on Jesus Christ of religion and said " I know him not"
Let us strive to be the Christian of the Jesus Christ of Calvary, help us to DO and not just say. Help us to show the world that when we evoke the name of Jesus it is the Jesus that taught us that to give is better than receive. Help us to be doers of the word and not hears only................. Help us Father God,,,,,,,,,,,, The world is watching.

Very true. It's important to follow up words with actions even when no one is watching.
How is grandma today? I called her yesterday and she seemed to be feeling better. She said they were going to send her home today. I've tried calling but there is a busy signal.
Thanks for the comment Sandy, you are growing as a Christian and also as a person, and it shows on that cute face and it shows in the spirit of your words..

How sad it is that there are people that will lash out when truth is spoken......... I am sorry for the people that speak out of a guilty heart.....They are missing the very spirit of truth. The truth when applied becomes a healing balm that will enrich their lives and bring them peace.
I do so agree....... It is easy for people to speak empty words.. It is the Christ in us that causes us to be doers of the word..... I did enjoy this post......
