Does Anybody Hear Her

I was more afraid of the "Christians" than I was the world in which I was suffering much abuse. I had this tug in my heart that at that time I did not know was Jesus....... but to go to church was more frightening than the mornings that I faced each day........

There is a song out by Casting Crowns called "Does Anybody Hear Her" The first time I heard it a few month ago it tore my heart to the point that I crumbled into sobs that rose up from the very center of my being. I tell you that I instantly identified with that fictitious person in a verse of a song. She is real and she lives among us. Before September 10th 1977 in an upper room in Anadarako Oklahoma, where my running ceased and I met the savior of my soul, I was that woman.

I downloaded that song today, and listened to the words very carefully. Again my heart broke and I saw the young woman named Denise. She was looking for a safe harbor, it would be years before she would find it.

Help us God to live large in you. Help us Father God to open our heart to you and our ears to others. Help us to hear the cry for help that only the heart can make. Help us not to live in the shadow of a steeple that only casts a shadow of hope, but to live out among them and to proclaim that Hope has a name, and that name is Jesus..........
