I am not a gloom and doom person and never have been. BUT I also am not an ostrich with my head in the sand... I have completely stopped watching the news and am reading only Christian newsletters and I am very particular about which one of those I read. One that got my attention this morning I want to share with you......... I am just going to put a link here if you care to read. Preparing for a Charismatic Meltdown It is not written with a lot of fluff and feel good stuff in order to give a false sense of goose bumps.... Sorry about that ladies, but I have been in too Sunday Services where there was all fluff and no meat... We need meat today ladies, not fluff.
The word of God tells us very specifically that if it is not built on the truth and the word of God then the foundation will not hold when the truth comes to visit.

1 Cr 3:10
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

1 Co 3:11
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Let us each examine our foundations and see if they are built on the one true God... All others will crumble. It is not what I think, it is what the word of God tells us. Let each of us be sure of our foundation and the truths that keep us free.

2 Th 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for (that day shall not come), except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

1 Pe 2:6
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on HIM shall not be confounded.

Do not be confounded, our foundation is sure...

I am not a gloom and doom lady but I also understand that Jesus rebuked the men of HIS time for not being able to read the signs of the times...

Mat. 16:3
And in the morning, [It will be] foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O [ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not [discern] the signs of the times?

Read and study, build up your inner man. Know in whom you believe... HE is the ONE TRUE GOD........ there is no inclusionist doctrine.

The TRUTH is coming to call...

Be blessed girl friends, keep your feet planted on the solid rock. It cannot be moved.

Good post, Denise. I'm not very good at remembering where a verse is in the Bible, but I do remember the teachings that I read from it. Somewhere in the Bible, it states that if something or someone is of God, it will stand. That causes me to believe that possible these churches were based on solid Bible doctrine and their leaders did not have their hearts where it should be with God. I'm thankful that the church that I attend is on solid ground and that the leaders are dedicated to carrying out God's work.

this was a very good eye opener for churches that want to preach a "feel good religion"...and there are plenty of them now...

we need to pray for our churches...

AMEN sister! Thank you for this timely post. In these dark days where information comes at us at lightening speed from all directions and sources, there is one voice I listen too...for TRUTH. The Word of God.

excellent readings...makes me stop and truly think, life is so hard and I so believe we are all be tested on aspect in our lives and I don't like being tested at all, but I do my best and believe God has allowed this to happen to me, and at the end of the day, when I pray, and for forgiveness for all my sin's in thoughts, words, and actions, something comes to mind and makes since why it happened. again, EXCELLENT reading. Thank you!!

Now that is sounding a bit more like the lady I got to know way back when.
Good to hear that umph! in your voice again.
If we were warned in the Bible that the way was narrow and few will find it then we had better be about working out our faith with some fear and trembling.
The signs are there....good post.

Just dropping by to let you know Aunt May is still hanging in there, but failing. I'm sorry I haven't had time to visit more, but I've been spending hours at the hospital.

I will be back later to catch up. How is Jean?

I hadn't seen that article but THANK GOD that finally someone is seeing (and voicing) that "The Emperior has no clothes on!"

Just hang in there.....there is more to come. This is just the tip of this iceberg.

It just makes me want to vomit.
God help us too because this craziness has gotten WAY out of hand and now look at the mess we are in.
Anyway....I could preach on this ALL day long. UGH. And better not. HA!

Hey.....I loved your "Thank you England list" you put on my site! It was GREAT.....great thoughts.
I'm sooo tired...I have GOT to go to bed.
Let's chat some more soon.
Have a GREAT and BLESSED Thanksgiving if I don't get back here before then.
See ya!
