I Smell Sulphur..........

..............Ok....... Why in the world does it take us so long to smell the sulphur? I have been a Christian for many years and no stranger to that smell........... I am no stranger to the battles that rage within the boundaries of hell......... He is threatened by us and he wages war........ He sends out demons and principalities and powers to stop us in our tracks........ The more we grow in Christ, the more we reach out to take what belongs to us......... The more time we spend our our knees and the closer we get to the place that He is going to plant us........... The enemy rages!!!!!!

..........Just let us speak the word that pierces hearts and causes others to seek the face of Jesus and he is on the war path and he knows our name....

......Oh he does not show himself in his true light.... He sends familiar things to distract us..... If that does not work then he out lies from the pits of hell do we listen? Some times..........

......... Oh then he stoops down into the darkest pits of the land where he lives and scoops from the dredge of his kingdom and with all his might he throws through the flames the reminders of our past!!!!!! It is his weapon of choice...... it is the reminder of the sin that engulfed our life for the years before the Savior found us....... It is the regrets and the failures that keeps us from finding the courage to possess the land that the Father offers us to take freely... It is in those reminders that shame crawls in and we hang our head........

.......Oh when we will awake to the smell of sulphur........ to see the evil for what it is.... to keep the child of God oppressed.......... he cannot take our salvation but he can keep us so weighted down that we go to heaven alone..........

....... If he is throwing at you the reminders of the past...... if there are voices in your life that would keep you full of regret and memories of the mistakes that causes you pain......... Then there is only one place that those records are kept........ and if you want to go and read about my failures then you will need to go to hell to get them............ My Father God has washed me in the blood of Christ and He has thrown them into the sea of forgetfulness, never to be remembered again........ The enemy of our soul is the only one that keeps those records...........

.........So lift high your head my brother and sister.....Live large in the name of Christ....... Hold your head high and when the enemy comes in, you rise to your feet and in the power and might of the blood of Christ and with the courage of a young lion you stand your ground increase your territory with the power of the Holy Spirit that lies within you.......... for Greater is He that is within you than He that is in the world.........

Decree the Will of God

Denise,

This is an awesome post. Even now I am smelling that sulphur because satan is on the attack. He has been very active in my life lately and I shout, "I cast ye behind me satan in the name of Jesus." He then lets up for a while before attacking with a vengence once again. As Christians, we are always in danger of his attacks and need to remain fully alert for that smell of sulphur.

Thanks so much for posting this.
Blessings,
Mary

What a great post. Thank you! I know that the enemy likes to try and bug us and he uses the same old tricks. I am so thankful for Jesus that He is bigger and stronger and He fights the battle for me.

Great post! The more we know the Word and God's promises, the more we can recognize satan's paw print.

Thanks for the comment on my blog.
We had such a great time on our fishing trip. I'd never heard of this lake either. It's in Texas. It's 30 miles east of Dallas.
I think it would take you about 2 1/2 or so hours to get there. We went through the outskirts of Ada on our way.
I love to eat fish and it looks like I'll have plenty to tide me over for a while. :)
You can let me know if you ever need more info.
Have a great day!
Love,
Valerie

Great post...what truth!
A friend recently told me...God created hell for those who do not love a take Him as their Savior....that is not me-- and I am not going to allow anyone or anything make me live there while here on earth!
Here in our neck of the woods our well produce water that has that sulfur smell. It can be so repugnant that you can hardly drink it. But there is something that can remove the taste and the smell from getting to you...it is called a filter.
I am glad that our Father gave us a built in filter.....the Holy Spirit and the word! And He did not even have to give us a money back guarantee....because it works-its proven!

I smell sulfur every day of my life and I think there are times I must like the smell because I don't seek God to get rid of that stench from my nostrils.
It's not just the past the devil holds us to ransom with, he can hold us just as firmly with things to do with family members and that is equally tough. Great post Denise and I missed you too.

Great post.. this is something I needed to hear...we must alway be alert.

I happy you tried the cookies...aren't they easy? Glad your hubby enjoyed them.

You asked about the stitch along...there are three of us....we are all stitching the same cross stitch pattern. We get together on Mondays and stitch on our projects and then have additional stitching to do during the week (homework:)).

Hope you find some time to do a little reading...I try to read a little each evening. Hugs, Linda

This speaks to my heart...thank you for sharing this. Hi..I came by via Chris. I too am born again in Christ. The sulphur has been "attacking" so much the past month on the approaching wedding of my eldest daughter. There are many issues...But I am so afraid...my husband is too. He just deals with his fears differently, like men do. I love her dearly...she is smart, beautiful...but her choice for a spouse...and the dark one is using all of this to attack me continually...guilt, fear, sadness, more guilt, guilt as a mother, parent...worry...will I even have a relationship with her after her marriage..ect. I could go on and on...I can't eat, sleep and my health is even declining. The wedding is less that 2 weeks away. I'm a wreck. The evil one is trying to destroy me, my life, my faith. I cry all the time...I have never experienced this kind of an attack. I don't even know why I'm telling you this..as I keep stuff like this to myself and just deal with it. Your witnessing through Jesus is speaking to my spirit. Thank you Lord! Please pray for my daughter...and her new married life. Blessings to you...J.
