A Friend

... When I just do not understand, Yet I will believe... got a phone call tonight and a friend of 25 years is in hospital with pancreatic cancer.... She lost her dear husband just August 4th 2007 ... He was a dear sweet friend.... She is a dear sweet friend.... We have prayed her through the last 3 years with this cancer.... We have seen God spare her life time and time again.... She is very ill.. cancer in her lungs and in back in the pancreas........ I think she will soon see the face of Jesus... She and Nelson were faithful friends throughout the years and we have laughed and cried and always there for each other.... they are special.... they were members of the church where my husband and myself were pastors. They were faithful............ When I do not understand yet will I believe............. Pray for Jean.......... she is brave, she is faithful, she is a child of the most high God....................... I may not be blogging for a while... I will sit with her................. Love you all.......

I'll put her on the prayer list now. If you want to leave an update, there's a link on my sidebar. It's so hard for us but God knows what she needs and it may be only Him. Can you imagine the excitement - His presence, LIVE! And with your best friend, no less. Oh, He will fill her "good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over into her lap!" In the meantime, you're so wonderful to be her friend and sit, talk, love her. Just make sure that you get rest too. Blessings... Polly

I am so sorry.
I will pray.

I was rather interested to see that you had been in the ministry. Cool!
I see where the depth cam from.

I hope that you and yours are doing good and that you are getting to spend some quality time with your friend. That sounds so "light" but I heard your heart and I am praying.

RYC---I love to talk about the serious things of God. I drive my hubby crazy-but I love to go deep. So watch out if you open this can of worms. Actually it has been too long since I have been able to let loose. I miss it. I go there lightly in my post sometimes hoping to spark a good discussion but it is hard to do in blogdom. So I just put the thoughts out there hoping at least that it will cause some to "think on these things".
I enjoy teaching although that is not my major area of gifting. I had done quite a bit of teaching until God cleared my plate about a year ago. I think He may allow me to resume some of that soon. I long to be with those again who hunger for a word from Him. Who long to see His face and are willing to have their minds and hearts cleaned out so that they are pure and can then see His face.
Mat 5:8
Praying for you and your heart.

My sweet sister, I am so sorry. I know how hard this must be, as I too have sat with a 'sister' trying to understand why "this again". My prayers are with you both.
I am sure she will be blessed and encouraged by your friendship....
