This is an old song,,,,,,, but oh the message!
I heard this song for the very first time in 1977 just a few weeks after I was born again. My life was in such turmoil ........ I would hear that song and just crumble on the floor from the pain of the day but the hope for tomorrow...... It was a song full of the spirit of God and there was such an anointing on the words.......... As years passed by new songs replaced the old ones and somewhere along the way I had forgotten this one..........
I walked into my shop today from the house and on my XM Satellite, the station was "The Message" ( I listen to it all the time) they were playing Dallas Holms "Rise Again" It took me back over 30 years ago to the early years of my walk with the Lord..... I remember all the sadness and all the emotion that song would bring..... today was different..........
My heart swelled up and tears ran down my face faster than I could wipe them away........... however the emotion today was such gratitude for what the Father has given me over these 30 years......... The pain and heartache of those years are long past and have been replaced with joy beyond what I could even imagined.......
It may not touch your heart as it does mine......... but just take a minute and hear the words.........
In Christ
Denise

That is what I so love about music and Christian music for sure!! i love hearing them and then they talk to me about things!! Sometimes I have been feeling down and will get in the car and just the right song will come on and bless me!! That is why music is so important to me.
Blessings, Sandy

That song is very touching...isn't it funny how one song can affect us so much and can represent a part of our lives, happy or sad. I'm so happy that the sadness is all behind you now and that you're happy where you are now:-) xoxo
