Mess, Mess, Mess

... I spent the entire day Friday cleaning out my utility room..... Now I do not know about you but that room is not high on my list for being tidy........ It is a utility room........With the washer and dryer and freezer..... It has drawers and shelves and cabinets for stuff....... The hot water heater is in the corner behind the door and the vacuums are at the far end behind the dryer..... Now......... It can be a bit of a mess at times and oh well........... Well........ our heating and air has given up the ghost and has to come out........ at this time it is encased in a wall between my dining room and my front door......... but seeing as how it has decided to dump water all over the floor and sound like a dragster burning rubber just before they take their foot off of the brake........ Soooooo out it comes........ now the good thing is the wall between the dining room and the entry way will be gone and I will have this beautiful huge dining room and a new bay window......... but the bad news is the new unit goes.................... Yeap in the utility room............ which means that half of the counter top with the sink and half of the cabinets and draws comes out.............. Oh my..... the mess that is headed my way........Sooooooooo I had to clean out the cabinets and drawers and make sure that things were out of the way for my DH to go in there sometime today with a skill saw.......... just the mention of that makes my teeth hurt!

.... Now to add mess upon mess........... Because the new unit will live in a different part of the house the duck work has to be altered......... ok....... they have to go up in the attic........ Ok....... the entry way to the attic is in my shop.......... My shop...... Where I am busy preparing to make your shirts..... My shop where I have a couple of project going for you to see in a couple of weeks........ My shop that is almost finished and only needs some curtains and a new door....... Ok......... but!!!!!!!!! (you knew that was coming) there is no fold out ladder to get into the attic........ OH NO....... soooooooo today down comes all my shelves with all my material and all my button jars and the entire shop will need be covered with sheets as my DH has to cut a larger hole in the ceiling and install a fold out ladder so that the "guys" coming can go up and down that ladder with the duck work and stuff............ OH my gosh!!!!!!!!! So..... I will be absent this weekend and maybe some next week because I have no idea what day of the week they will be here and I have no idea what kind of a mess that will be here when the are gone........ My DH has taken the week off and I pray that the new unit will be installed on Tuesday or Wednesday...... then I can beg and cry and plead (not really) for him to help me to reclaim my space......... sooooooo that is what my weekend and my coming week looks like......... What are you up to?

hahah......... BUT

I am thankful for a DH that takes care of these things............

I am thankful for a home even if it does need fixing and repairs sometimes...

I am thankful for a small business right outside my kitchen door even if it is going to be covered in sheets for a season.

I am thankful for air conditioning in the heat of the summer and warmth in the cold winter

I am thankful for my health that allows to be a helping hand (if I watch my back) to my DH...

I am thankful for the fact that the Cardinals won last night and that my humming bird feeders are hanging outside my kitchen window........ and I am watching with great anticipation for the arrival of the first little red throated guy that comes here every year.......

AND I am thankful that my Father God answered a prayer of my heart this week and He did it via one of the beautiful blog gals.......

Life is good and so you can disregard all the oh poor me's in the above rambling..........

Have a great weekend........

Portions of our homes that we whittle away at... Portions of our heart God whittles away at. Clean-up is never fun, but always worthwhile. Blessings... Polly

Denise,

The hole will be cut in the ceiling, the men will come and get the work done and your shop and house will soon be in great shape. You will be blessed with more space in your house because the utility room is the new home for the heat and AC. All of this will be awesome once it is done.

Glad you were able to receive an answer to prayer through a blogging friend. God is good!!

Blessings for me are:

The robins are back.
Today is a beautiful spring day with sunshine and warmth.

I will be thinking of you this weekend and in the coming week and keeping you in my prayers.

Blessings,
Mary

Hang in there Denise! Man, I do know about remodeling and I do know that it's so challenging during the experience and so worth it when you're done and can enjoy the results. I got pretty darn cranky when we remodeled our kitchen two years ago...and it's OK to be cranky! I used to go to the back bathroom with a book and stay in there for half and hour! LOL! Just to get away from the chaos.
Bless you my friend. God be with you and your hubby.

Good Morning Denise,
When it rains it pours huh? LOL. I'm sorry about having to go thru all of this, but hopefully when it's all said and done, you will like your new space and will have more room. My utility room has the washer and dryer in it and a small closet for the water heater. There are a few shelves in there to put things in as well. There is also some cabinets above the washer and dryer and that makes it very convenient to put your washing powders and things like that in. Our A/C and heat is at the end of the hall. I read your post about having lunch with Jean. I'm so glad yall was able to have lunch together and enjoy each other's company. I do respect that she doesn't want her picture taken as well. I don't even like to have my picture made. Your salad sounds so delicious and I'm sure Jean ate the rest of it later in the day. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. I hope you took a copy of those Awards with you. If not, please drop back by and pick them up.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi Denise,

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. You have a lovely blog here. It sounds like you have a lot going on at your place. Cleaning up is always a chore for me! In the end though i get such a sense of accomplishment when a job is well done.

I have much to be thankful in my life. Mainly I am thankful that God is blessing my life with his Love and Grace. :) I am going to book mark your page if you do not mind, and come and visit again.

Blessings!

You are one busy lady this weekend! I'll pray it will all fall into place smoothly for you - let me know. Have I told you how nice you look in a hat? I love hats! I just don't think I look so great in them:-)

Not sure if I ordered the tee-shirt...I've been tied up with appts, and keeping the grandbabies.

hugs,
Vicki

Hello dear Denise:-)

I'm finally catching up with everybody today...it's slow going but I'm getting there! Hmmm, I wonder if you close your eyes then reopen them again if all the work will have been done?? Naw, I guess it doesn't work that way! lol That's when you wish you could wiggle your nose like Samantha on Bewitched! hehe I do hope it all goes well...it will certainly be a mess for a while but the end result will have been all worth it:-)

We don't get to see hummingbirds here until mid-May so it will be a month or so yet. We still have lots of snow but at least it's starting to melt now with the sunshine and milder temps we've been getting the last few days!!

Think of you often! xoxo

Helo Denise,
You have been tagged. You do not have to participate if you do not want to. I figure you are busy with the clean up from the duct work going in.

Would busy be an understatement for you these days? I hope you're not overdoing it at the same time. You're not overdoing it are you? Denise?????
