Laugh!!!!!!!!

............Sometimes I just want to tell you what I have been up to....... I put too much on myself sometimes and I really am a very fun person...... Seems that lately I have not been laughing much and I really need to get back to that......... My grandmother said that by the time I was two years old I was in the big middle of everything trying to make people laugh...... and I think that was what carried me through the terrible times in my life.......... I always laugh.......

...... Grandmother said that I reminded her of my Uncle James........ he had dark eyes and laughed all the time.......... He was tragically killed in a train accident just one month before I was born in 1947.......... I think that the Lord gave me his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh to help remind Grandmother that her son James was alive and well and she would see him again.............

anyway...........

...... The past 8 months or so my DH and I have had this little rent house hanging over our heads... We purchased the house three years ago for a family member with the thoughts that they would live in it for years..... We went in and cleaned and painted and fenced in the back yard and made it quite the little home.......... Well how many of you know that life gets in the way of your plans and this past September they left very quickly without any notice and the house was trashed......... oh my......... We just did not need that right now........... We were building the little house for my Mom and Dad and we were right in the middle of that project and mercy!!!!!!!

....... Anyway, to make a long story short and spare you the cry baby sob sob story.......... We have been working on that little house evenings and every weekend for months and months....... Now you know how that can just wear you down........ BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my DH was on Spring Break last week and we got up every morning and got our coffee and headed over to the house and by Thursday we finished that project and there is a for sale sign in the yard!!!!!!!! Thank you Lord......

........ It was just one of those little dark clouds that hang over your head and try as you might you cannot escape .......... like a thorn in the flesh.....ahahhahahha . Bless his heart my DH was doing most of it alone the past couple of months due to my back problem that has jumped up and bit me in the butt......... so to speak........ but I could do some things and I tried to help all I could...... but somewhere along the way I lost my laughter and the Lord reminded me today that He misses hearing me laugh........... What a precious thing that was to hear Him say......

...... We get so caught up in the day to day that we forget that we are just passing through .... this is not our home and we are sojourners.......... and we need not pitch our tents with the expectation of being here long...........

........ Sometimes I forget that..... in the scheme of things it really does not matter and what is needed most is to not take life so serious........ Laughter is good medicine and it has served me well all of my life......... soooooooooo I am going to rest a bit this week and see if I can find my giggle box again........

.......... I think that the Jesus in me is the Jesus with the laughing eyes......... you need the Jesus in me .........Life throws things at us and goodness knows that if we do not lighten up sometimes we will be overcome with the burdens......... . I think that He has quite the sense of humor........ if you don't believe that just look in the mirror..........aahahahha

.............. That is why I love to go out and read your blogs........ I need the Jesus in each of you...... it is a good balance don't you think?

........... Ok.... I guess you have figured out by now that I am in a really strange mood so I will just get off of here and go and read a while.........

........... laughter is a gift that we can give away............. and still have plenty for ourselves.........

Denise,

I love this post. Laughter is the best medicine. I do NOT have enough laughter in my life. I have always been a more serious person -I guess because of the things that happened to me.

I am HAPPY that the rental house is all ready to go and that the For Sale sign is on it. That is a work finished and you and your hubby are to be commended. We rent the upstairs apt and it is always a work in progress.

I enjoyed your visit to my blog tonight and your memories. I would love to see those quilt pieces. Please post a photo or two.

Love ya, Sis,
Blessings,
Mary

I love to laugh and laughter is such a big part of our home. It helps us get through the tough times. I always know my kids are going to be okay when something bad happened to them when they can start joking about it. I hope you sell your home fast!

Blessings, Sharon

P.S. I do take my camera with me just about everywhere I go! You never want to miss a photo opp!

my husband has a very distinct laugh and everyone in church, at a family gathering, at a meeting of any sort...always knows where he is by his laugh...and I always hate it when his laugh goes away for awhile...
so I am praying that your laugh will rise up out of your heart again and make the others around you enjoy hearing it...

I hope you find your laughter today. :) Just think of grandma potts saying "fliterdick". That should get you started.

I love laughing and feel so good after a good belly-aching laugh! My sinuses start draining and stuff just breaks loose! :D

We like to watch the old Andy Griffith shows and I Love Lucy shows. They are clean, hilarious, and a lot of it pertains to real life (except Lucy's scheming ways, which aren't to be copied!)

As Barney Fife would say, "It's therapetic!" :D

This post is a very important reminder to laugh, smile, giggle, lighten up!
Thank you.
And I'm so glad that your "rent house project" is on the way to a resolution.

You are so-o right.
Sometimes our plans or not His plans. We need to take time to enjoy the journey.

Before my Mother died, I talked to her a little about her imminent death. It wasn't really a deep conversation but it was important. She had already gotten to that place where she was more concerned with the spiritual than with the here and now. But we talked about who she would see when she got home. She was at peace and so was I.
