Blessings..........

Hey girls..... I wanted to post tonight but it has been quite the two days for me...... but !!!!!!!! the good news is Mom had her Dr. appointment and the good Dr said he does not suspect Alzheimer's..... One Mother had a CT scan in June when she fell and split her head open.. and on the CT there was nothing to indicate Alzheimer's. Two...... I have not seen any significant change in her neither my older brother Paul or my husband Dennis....... Sooooooooooo Dr said he feels that it is just age with some dementia. I am to change her environment a bit and do things with her to cause her to think. I am going to start bringing her over to my shop a couple of days a week and give her a sewing project of some sort.......... she should enjoy that. We went to Wal-Mart today and bought some knitting yarn for her to finish my afghan that she has started, that will be a wonderful keepsake for me. Keep her busy and her mind thinking. Getting her out of the house more often will also help. I will do my best......... but for now I am thankful for my Mother and thankful that the Lord blessed her life. I will continue to give her the Vitamin B 12 and I think will start her on some Brewers yeast....... As well as myself. I am glad that the Lord has brought this information to my attention. HE is good and greatly to be praised.
I will try and post again tomorrow, I have about two or three about finished. Love you all and thanks for all the email asking about Mom and sending your encouragement. I have had a very blessed two days and I will share.
Hugs

Denise, what fantastic news.
I am so glad that your mind is getting a little relief. And if hanging out with your Mom, helps her....how cool.

Dearest Denise,

Such great news to hear that your mom doesn't have Alzheimer's! I think your plan to keep her busy and in various surroundings is an excellent plan!!! She's very lucky to have you as a daughter:-) I've been noticing that my own mother is becoming more and more forgetful and sometimes forgets she's just said something 5 minutes earlier and then repeats it...I'm keeping an eye on that. Dementia is in her family, her dad had it and 3 of her brothers had it before they died.

Take care of YOU!! xoxo

Well this is good news!! I think that B-12 has a lot to do with this. I am taking that now but i take it because I seem to get tired. Sandy

God bless you, dear Denise, and have a wonderful day. I look forward to hearing about more of your days.
Sincerely,

I am so glad that your mother is not suffering from Alzheimers. Our prayers have been answered. Our God is loving and merciful.

The afghan will be a wonderful keepsake. I'm glad you are trying to keep your mother busy. That sure helps.

Have fun with your mother and enjoy the rest of the week.

Great news to hear about your Mother. Does she like to read? Do crosswords? These are two ways to keep her mind active. I think I read somewhere that learning something new is good, too. Spend lots of quality time with her when you can. I know she is a blessing to you.
