Thankful Thursday

....... It is so late and I cannot sleep...... many things on my mind and as I watch the news every evening (Fox News, to which I am addicted) I so understand that the America that we knew as little girls is passing away in front of our eyes....... So today I am Thankful for:

A Grandmother that taught me that life is precious and each day is such a gift from God...... She taught me that age is just a number and to be bored is almost a sin against God....... I am thankful that I have no understanding of bored....

I am thankful that when I just cannot see past the cares of this day His eyes have already seen my tomorrow...........

I am thankful that His word is truth and no amount of facts can erase the word that abides in my heart and no amount of political correctness can sway me from the foundation that He has laid in my life.........

I am thankful that by the witness of two or three His will is made known in my life and just this past week He has spoken into my spirit man instruction for the coming days in my life.

I am thankful that when I am so tired, He holds the pillow where I can lay my head..........

I am thankful for my soul mate named Dennis, he is my most amazing gift from the Father God that I must thank Him for each day........ There are not words to share with you the miracle that my Father God performed that day in April when He gave me Dennis...........

I am thankful that even when I watch creation groan around me waiting for the day of redemption, I know that He draweth nigh! Luk 21:28
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Rom 8:22
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Rom 8:23
And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

Happy TT to you!

Not sure if I've been to your beautiful blog or not?

Anyhow, great list...

Funny I watch Fox too, and last night I felt very discouraged after watching the news. I felt such a urge to cry out for our nation like never before!

I just read your previous post. I have 3 bulging discs, the same place as you! I've been dealing with this for a LONG time.

I've opted out of surgery and just do PT. I have good times, and some very bad ones as well. (I need to start exercising really BAD!)

One last thing, I just start reading the Shack, I'm going to read some more this morning.

VERY interesting!!!

Blessings to you♥

just caught up on your postings for the last couple of days...
Glad your mom is allright...
looks like you are going to take the bull by the horns and try to take care of your back problem yourself...by eating healthy and exercising...I'll pray for your success in that venture...

And I just love your thankful list...

Denise,

What a great TT post. I also read about your Dr.'s appointment. Sounds like he is very good. I work for a group of neurologist who are fabulous. I hope you can get this taken care of without surgery.

Also, the blood work, it is true that if your levels are too low or too high depending on which one can cause problems in your legs. There is also medication that could take care of it. (Not trying to sell you on anything). I just care enough for a Christian sister.

Blessings!
Cheryl

A very thankful list indeed. Sorry to hear you were having trouble sleeping. :(
Hope you rest better tonight.
It seems that I may be getting a chance to "get away" this weekend.
I'm not sure with the company I'll be with how much I'll enjoy...but the chance to get out of town will be nice. So if I don't get to talk to you before tomorrow...have a great weekend!
Love Ya!!

Very true; good things to be thankful for! I'm so glad your doctor is taking your back seriously and listening to you -- and offering you options. I know how back pain can slow a person down, but I'm with you. I also want to do what I can myself as long as I can. Then, we'll see what other options I need to pursue.

Just finished The Shack the other day. It's very thought-provoking. I have already decided someone to whom I want to pass it on.

Thanks for the sweet comment about your little bag. I would love to see a picture once you do your embroidery work on it. I have always wanted an embroidery machine. Perhaps someday I will have one.

Blessings, my friend.

Yes, life can get you weary, but it is good that we can find comfort and peace in the arms of our savior.

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Be blessed today and always...

Denise,

This is a great thankful list. I too had a Grandmother that taught me about God and for that I was truly blessed. Grandmas are wonderful.

Thanks for the tip on painting. I think it would be so much easier with the room empty and think that is the way to go. You're experienced and I'm so thankful for the advice. Your Dad gave the same tip, so think that is what we'll do.

Have a great weekend and don't overdo.

Love and hugs,
Mary

Dear Denise, I've missed so much. Your TT post was beautiful...thank you for sharing. I have much to be thankful too..but sometimes we tend to take things for granted. I have a gratitude journal that helps me realized how blessed I am.

Your new dr. sounds very knowledgeable and caring too. I hope this summer your back is improved and if possible avoid surgery.

I've got to take a peek at Shack....soounds interesting.

Keep walking (I've got to get to my program) and I hope you get a chance to use yor RV. Take care my friend, hugs, Linda

Thank you for penning your thankfulness even in your weary. God is blessed (and so am I) by your tender words of truth.

Our weak, when submitted to the authority of Jesus Christ, is the platform for his strong.

And there is strength in this post!

Hi, I'm elaine. New to your blog from somewhere...

May God bless your week with renewed strength and hope for the days ahead.
