Change of Heart

... It has been a busy week and I am here to tell you that I am now working in Windows XP and it is wonderful...... My DH is great with the PC and he had it wiped out and back to me by Wednesday ............... YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

........My week has been full of jobs for my customers and designs to finish and shirts to be ordered..... I have three large jobs in my shop right at this moment and I did get the designs ready for print......... I love my job and my customers but some days I just want to sit in my swing and ........... swing...........

.............A few things have happened this week and I want to share a couple of them with you.......... I have finally given up most of my TV....... The Lord has been trying to get me to do this for some time now but as in everything else in my life I have not released those things with ease....... I grew up in front of the TV..... we were never encouraged to read so it was many many years into my adult life that I even discovered books........ I now have books everywhere and I do want to take the time to read........ My husband was raised with a library card..... what the heck was that! He did not sit and watch TV sooooo he is accustomed to sitting in the quiet reading in the evening and I am programed to sit and stare at the TV... I am thankful that the Lord has finally removed the desire......... I find it just amazing that the Lord has changed my heart..... How does He do that.......... How does he take a heart that longs to be obedient to His word and His teaching and mold it and change it in order for that purpose to be revealed.... is that just tooooo wonderful or what.............. There is a favorite saying that I have been using for a very long time now....... I have no idea where I heard it or who said it............ but it is worth sharing tonight........... I cannot change my heart but I can change my mind..... The Lord will not change my mind but he can change my heart......... so when I change my mind, the Lord will change my heart........... that is sooooooooooooo true...........

........... I have had to change my mind this week regarding a personal issue........ and now I have to trust Him to change my heart.......... I so need a change of heart in this matter............ The week brought about my vision being turned inward to my heart and the parts of my life that I still have not surrendered to the Father..... who knew.. seems that the more I think that there is nothing left to give up He finds dark spots in my heart.......... I need to surrender all......... how hard it is to let go of things that we have held on too for so long....... We have a death grip on some areas in our lives and He is trying to pry our finger loose in order for Him to show us that He is Lord of our lives, even the dark parts............

There is another thing that was decided this week but I am going to wait just a few weeks to share it....... but it will be worth your wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

:)

Denise,

I'm so glad you have the laptop back and are busy, busy in your shop. I do hope your back isn't giving you much trouble these days.

Love the t-shirt design and the slogan that Brandy came up with. It is perfect.

Take care, my friend. Have a wonderful week.

Blessings,
Mary

What a great post. I am so proud of you for giving up TV and for expanding your world with reading. Also, you are very wise to listen to your husband and to try to share the same interests with him! Awesome!I love the saying about changing our minds and God changing our hearts.

I can't wait to hear your other news!

Hugs, Sharon

Dearest Denise,

I'm so glad you have your computer back with Windows XP...that's what I have and I love it. Have heard too many bad things about Vista.

I just love the t-shirt design and it goes perfectly with Brandy's slogan...congratulations to her:-)

I hardly ever have the tv on anymore...there are just so many other wonderful things to be doing than sitting there watching tv:-) xox

Welcome back!! I grew up w/o a TV -- until I was 14, but by then, the novelty had worn off. I was a reader and still am. I'm thankful that I didn't get hooked, but I know it isn't easy for some. I live w/ some who really struggle w/ it. D
