I Am So Glad I Ate

Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

........The body is the vehicle, the soul is who we are and it will never die. God breathed life into that body and that soul will live forever. Now the soul is how we think and act.. our personality. What we like and dislike.... etc. And that soul is encased in our spirit man. Our spirit man is the created being where the Holy Spirit abides.... Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

..........They ate, but they did not die........ but yes they did die... Their spirit man died. They moved from the dispensation of innocence to the dispensation of consciousness. Thus when a man or woman dies without the second birth their spirit man is condemned and where the spirit man goes so goes the soul...... I said that to say this: We are three in one...... body, soul and spirit........ We take care to give our bodies food and water, we lay it down
and rest and we give it sunshine and we keep it warm when it is cold........ our bodies...... We interact with others and we engage in lively conversation with those of like mind....... We read and educate our minds........ We educate ourselves as to be effective works in our world........
Our soul........... then why in the world do we think that our Spirit man can go without.......

......Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.....

....When we feed on the word of God, our spirit man is fed. When we read and study and meditate we give our spirit man the weapons to come against the wiles of the devil. Line upon line and precept upon precept, here a little there a little. Always arming our spirit man in preparation of the warfare. And warfare there will be!
.... The scripture above tells us that the Holy Spirit was sent to teach us all things and TO BRING TO OUR REMEMBRANCE WHATSOEVER THINGS I HAVE SAID TO YOU.

......When we fail to fill our spirit man with the food of the living word and then warfare strikes the job for the Holy Spirit is to first teach us what the word says then help us to do battle. When we have filled our spirit man with the word of God the battle is waged in a instant. The Holy Spirit brings up out of your spirit man the exact scripture for the battle at hand... He quickens your spirit man with that verse or story or history and out of your mouth comes the weapons to fight that battle...

....I once heard a pastor say that we so grieve the Holy Spirit when we are struggling so with our personal battles and our spirit man is so weak from the lack of the word that He busy teaching us when in fact He should only have to be bringing it to our remembrance.
....I know you have experienced that... when something comes against you ......... the scripture is right there........ up out of your spirit man comes the warring soldier...... Out of your mouth comes words of life needed for yourself or someone near and dear........... then there have been times I know that those words were not there.............. How very important that we fill our heart and minds with the living word so that when evil comes............ The Holy Spirit in us engages that living word in our spirit man and the fight is on....

Hsa 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The first part of that scripture says that because we do not know then we are subject to be destroyed....... and that pretty much says it all...............
sooooooooooo ladies chow down and feed that spirit man so that we will be able to withstand the darts of the enemy
... I am facing some things in my life and I am so glad that I have eaten.............

Good Afternoon Denise,
What a very truthful and powerful post for today. We should all feed the Spirited Man to fight against the evil. It is hard sometimes to slip away and let the Spirited Man get a little hungry, but we should go back and chow down again so he will be ready. "THANK YOU" Denise for sharing such a wonderful post. It has touched my heart. I will be praying for you as you are going thru those things right now. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

OH it's so true isn't it?!! I was just reminded today... "Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage." (ps 84:5) These struggles are quick little tiffs. It's a pilgrimage and His Word fills for the journey. I can't tell you how many times I've remembered a Bible verse because of a silly song we sang as kids or because of the memorizing we had to do back in school. He Fills Me! Blessings.. Polly

Wondering how things are going with what I am praying about?

This is such an important word for me.Why is it that i have such an easy time speaking it and praying it over someone else but maybe not so much for me. In other words I can open my mouth and rebuke it off someone else but I have a hard time rebuking it off me. How that makes sense.
I think God is teaching me to open my mouth. The word is there--it just needs to come out where the word can be heard.

Denise,

A powerful post. We must always be on guard and protect our spirit. Satan loves it when we let our guard down.

Glad Chris is home. Remember to get lots of rest and to take care of yourself.

Blessings and love,
Mary
