I love this president............
No matter what you say or what you think of this man, he is a man of God. Oh yes he has made mistakes but what mistakes would you have made. I quit watching the news the night of the election as I was so grieved with the outcome. Oh, I have no issues with President elect Obama, it is just that I am so conservative. I read a blog the other day about the Christians standing up for what is right in this country and I so agree, but I am not sure where we would begin.
There is such an agenda for the left wing and that machine is in motion and it is gaining momentum. I so fear for this country. President Obama spoke of change but the people appointed to his cabinet is from the "Old School" and I fear there is a change coming but it is not the change to keep this great country free. I will leave that in the hands of God.
I thank God for George W Bush and I will miss him. I thank God that he has stood strong in the face of the abortion issue and stood firm upholding the union of marriage as between a man and a woman. I prayed for him during his eight years as President of this great nation and I will continue to pray for him and his family. I believe that if the Lord tarries he will be listed among the great leaders of this world........ He is a giver of freedom and hundreds of thousands of people will experience a new life because of his courage to make the hard decisions..........
Regardless of what you think of him, he is a man of God appointed for that place in time to lead this great nation............ He led well....................

I wish you were a butter fly on the wall. This house smells so good. I hope that your feeling better this evening.
"Regardless of what you think of him, he is a man of God (?)"
"appointed for that place in time to lead this great nation. (so true)"
For he would not have been given the position otherwise. Yet I can't help but think of the Old Testament how they were given judges because they did not want to deal with God himself.
They choose man. So chooses a country, often to its demise or often to be targeted for it. Like the scape goat of old.
If MY people who are called by MY name will humble themselves and pray, I will hear from heaven and heal their land.
Amen.
Have you read the book, "The Faith of George W. Bush".
If you haven't and would like to, I will send you my copy. Email me.
Blessings to you, my friend.
Denise,
George W. sure made his share of mistakes but he is only human. I wonder what each of us would have done had we been in his place.
I listened to a TV program on Abraham Lincoln on Tuesday night and many critized him for the decisions he made. Yet he is known as one of the greatest presidents in US history. I would have loved to have met him.
Praying for your sweet mother and for you. I need to read the post below.
Blessings,
Mary
I agree & I always think about how there were no more terrorist attacks on our country after 911 and he was a huge reason for that.
Yes, he has made mistakes, but I always kept (keep( him in my prayers.
We're doing the Esther Bible study and in the intro. session the other night Beth said (and this study was done a year and a half ago....before we knew who would be our next president) She was talking about Esther, but really any situation...she said, "He's (God)come to do something new. God can come through the doors of any place that has power. Nothing can keep God out once He has a mind to get in. No matter who is President, Secretary of State, in Congress....
when God has a mind to get in that office, He's gonna do it."
I thought that was great. We who are pray-ers need to pray for Obama and for our country. Beth went on to add..."We need that encouragement. There is no place He cannot go."
Have a good weekend, Denise!

I agree with you!!! He is a man of God. I watched last night as he said good-bye. I know the Lord will bless him in what he does in the future. I am praying for you as you see the Doctor today. Ours went so so but no real answers yet. Have a great weekend,,,,Mary
I agree with you. We all need to keep our country in our prayers.
I will miss him. Cried all through his farewell speech yesterday. I know he will be glad for the reprieve. God help our country stay the course!
peace~elaine
PS: How did the dr.s visit go? My goodness; 9 years of no answers is unacceptable! Praying for your relief.
This is my first visit to your blog. Such a lovely post, I totally agree with you.
I'll be back to read you again soon!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
I never understood the hatred of President Bush. I have always loved him. Did he make some mistakes, yes...he is human after all. I have always felt safe under his Presidency. I know with out a doubt he has kept this country safe!
Hugs
I believe that GWB was a solid president. He came into office with problems to face and to basically clean up some of the messes made. Then he lead our Country through 9-11 and has done a fine job since. Yes, there are things he has done that I don't agree with either, however nobody is perfect - AND he is not to blame on everything afterall.

I think that history will be kinder to George W. than the press and the hate mongers. He has gotten a bad rap that he does not deserve!! I too will miss him..and it's unfortunate he was held hostage as a lame duck the past 4 years by the Dem. majority.
He has kept my country safe the past 7 years, and did what he thought was best for his nation and the American people!! Sure..he made some tough very unpopular choices, but always had the best interest of the USA in his heart, and has taken horrible abuse from the press and the left. I don't know of a president since FDR that has had so many catastrophic events to deal with as President Bush has!!! I thank him and his service to my country and will miss him and Laura ( who I adored as First lady) I wish them well and God Bless!
I love him to but I'm thinking he is ready to be a citizen now. I pray God will continue to bless him and Laura as they get settled.
